But unto Cain and to his offering he had no [a]regard: wherefore Cain was exceedingly wroth and his countenance fell down.

Then the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance cast down?

If thou do well, shalt thou not be [b]accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the [c]door: also unto thee his [d]desire shall be subject, and thou shalt rule over him.
